City Controller Rachael Heisler released the 2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh brought in $687 million dollars in 2025 and on the other side of the ledger was $732 million dollars in spending. <\/p>\n
That is a $44 million deficit. <\/p>\n
City controller Rachael Heisler explained that without the Federal American Rescue dollars. <\/p>\n
Heisler had warned everyone that we were spending more money than we were bringing in. <\/p>\n
One of the crippling expenses was one million dollar a month to maintain the city’s fleet. <\/p>\n
Heisler is encouraging more people to move to Pittsburgh and invest in the city. <\/p>\n
Pittsburgh is the only national market where it is cheaper to buy than to rent. <\/p>\n
