UPPER MILFORD TWP., Pa. – The average price of gas just hit its highest since the start of the Iran war.<\/p>\n
In Pennsylvania, AAA says it’s $4.64 a gallon for regular.<\/p>\n
In New Jersey, it’s $4.53.<\/p>\n

Herbein’s Garden Center in Upper Milford Township is a good example of how when gas prices go up, everything else is affected.<\/p>\n
It’s the busiest time for planting flowers right now, and they say they’re doing everything they can not to add a fuel surcharge to their bills.<\/p>\n
The garden center is operated by the company Lehigh Valley Lawn, which has dozens of vehicles that run on all different types of fuel, including diesel, which is running well over $5 a gallon right now.<\/p>\n
Co-owner Matthew Roy says some of those costs are being reflected right now in the cost of plants.<\/p>\n
It’s also keeping some people from coming out to spend money on plants, or the gas it takes to get here.<\/p>\n
Roy says he’s hopeful prices will come down soon and that his company doesn’t feel the need to implement a fuel surcharge in the future.<\/p>\n
