A homeless man threatened a Turkey Hill convenience store manager on April 30, creating a public disturbance, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Marvin Thomas, 30, faces charges of disorderly conduct, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
According to the criminal complaint, Scranton police officers were called to the Meridian Avenue convenience store at about 5:30 p.m. for the report of a man who was attempting to fight the store manager and creating a disturbance.<\/p>\n
Officers found Thomas standing outside, hands in his pockets.<\/p>\n
Police instructed Thomas to remove his hands from his pockets and he initially complied, but then returned one of his hands to a pocket, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
When police asked why he did that, Thomas removed from his pocket a black bag containing a small amount of marijuana and handed it over to officers.<\/p>\n
Officers searched Thomas and found rolling papers, commonly used to smoke marijuana, police said.<\/p>\n
Store manager Luis Quinones told officers Thomas came into the store with an \u201cattitude.\u201d<\/p>\n
As Quinones was speaking with a co-worker, Thomas approached him and asked him why he was smiling.<\/p>\n
Thomas then threatened to hurt Quinones and suggested they \u201ctake this outside.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thomas continued yelling and using vulgar language until police arrived, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
He remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n
