PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — To support senior citizens, this Jefferson Health educator has cooked up something special.<\/p>\n

Denine Nalls-Kirby led the “Old Ways” African Heritage Nutrition Class at the Salvation Army Kroc Center Philadelphia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Participants were senior citizens in the “Golden Gems” program.<\/p>\n

All those who attended the classes walked away with a better understanding of plant-based foods and healthy eating.<\/p>\n

It’s part of Jefferson Health’s initiative to offer a variety of free programs both online and in-person.<\/p>\n
