SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 All aboard! The \u201cBig Boy\u201d 4014 steam locomotive is coming to the Steamtown National Historic Site next month.<\/p>\n

The largest operating steam locomotive will be in Scranton on display June 15 and June 16 and will be able to be viewed by the public from June 17 to June 30, while it is getting maintenance work.<\/p>\n

After departing Scranton, its next public destination will be in Philadelphia during the Fourth of July weekend.<\/p>\n

Officials tell 28\/22 News, there are 20 thousand tickets on sale for the two days. However, there is an expectation from officials that there will be more than that, saying it might \u201cbe the biggest event the City of Scranton has ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leo Nolan, the part-owner of Nolan & Rogers in Scranton, told 28\/22 News, \u201cpeople will be coming from all over the East Coast to take a look at the \u2018Big Boy.’\u201d<\/p>\n
