A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday, police said, when a “large crowd” gathered to celebrate Cinco de Mayo along South Street in Philly’s Old City neighborhood.<\/p>\n
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, at about 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to reports of large crowds gathering at the intersection of 5th and South streets in Old City.<\/p>\n
At that time, officers dispersed the crowd and a man and a woman were arrested during the incident, according to Small. <\/p>\n
Small did not immediately detail the reason for the arrests or specify the charges against the pair. <\/p>\n
