SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – Students around the region were eagerly awaiting results of the\u00a0Freddy Award nominations Thursday.<\/p>\n
69 News Reporter Cierra Genelle was live at Lehigh Christian Academy for the school’s first Freddy’s nomination watch party.<\/p>\n
The room was extra loud because this is Lehigh Christian Academy’s first time in the running for the Freddy Award nominations!<\/p>\n
Genelle\u00a0caught up with students at the school’s watch party.<\/p>\n
“This is my lovely theater family. We’ve been together for a very long time,” said Senior Mckenna Reynolds.<\/p>\n
Lehigh Christian Academy students were on the edge of their seats, as they were moments away from finding out if their high school and performers were nominated for this year’s Freddy Awards.<\/p>\n
“I don’t got much words. It’s just — it’s a surreal experience,” said Senior Samuel Lazarus.<\/p>\n
The students have been hard at work all year and are participating with their production of “The Prince of Egypt: The Musical.”<\/p>\n
“This group of kids is very close knit. We’ve always been close knit, but this one in particular — is — they’re just very encouraging to each other and I have a lot of talent here,” said Theater Director Laurie Comly.<\/p>\n
