Scranton Prep extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-7. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Abington Heights Comets. The game was the first time the Cavaliers have beaten the Comets on their field since April 25, 2022.

Johnny Petrosky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn’t given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Scranton Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Zapotoski, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Abington Heights, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. Comets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Scranton Prep since Tuesday.

On Abington Heights’ side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Greyson Locker gave up three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.
