Over 50 animals, including dogs, birds, a goat, and a bearded dragon, were removed from a Pennsylvania property<\/p>\n

Multiple organizations, including Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue, worked together to complete the large-scale rescue mission<\/p>\n

Shelters involved in the rescue are seeking funds to care for the animals, many of whom require urgent attention<\/p>\n

Animal rescuers have removed over 50 animals in need from a property in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue<\/a> shared details about the multi-team mission on Facebook. The event took place on Tuesday, May 5, after the organization was called in by the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) to Somerset County.<\/p>\n

Alongside Abby’s Angels Animal Haven and the Philadelphia Adult Probation and Parole Department, Helping Hearts spent hours removing 52 animals from the property, including dogs, birds, a bearded dragon, and a goat.<\/p>\n

“This was a major undertaking, and it could not have been done without the assistance of multiple organizations,” read the post, crediting and thanking over 10 local organizations for making the rescue mission a success.<\/p>\n

PEOPLE reached out to Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue and has yet to receive a response.<\/p>\n

Each shelter and rescue on the scene took “multiple dogs and will be in need of funds” to care for the surge of new animals.<\/p>\n

Helping Hearts took in nine dogs, including one large adult, a medium adult (who suffered a seizure at the time of the rescue), and a medium-sized female with her six puppies.<\/p>\n

This large-scale effort is one of numerous rescue missions happening across the country.<\/p>\n

In late March, Wings of Rescue, a volunteer pilot organization that transports at-risk dogs and cats, coordinated with Paws for Life K9 Rescue<\/a> to transport over 100 adoptable pets<\/a> from Los Angeles Animal Services to out-of-state rescues where they had a better chance at adoption.<\/p>\n

The rescue flight made room in L.A. shelters for hundreds of animals removed from a California property, which is now part of an ongoing legal investigation.<\/p>\n

Advocates and volunteers involved in the flight include Denise Richards<\/a>, Baywatch<\/a> alum David Chokachi<\/a>, influencer Nathan Kehn, and actor Jesse Kove.<\/p>\n
