A man is fighting for his life in the hospital after being shot several times during a fight on Thursday, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. <\/p>\n
The shooting unfolded just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7 near the 2300 block of South 64th Street in Southwest Philadelphia, police explained. <\/p>\n
Philadelphia Police Capt. Timothy Stephan told NBC10 that a blue minivan pulled up to an alleyway when a man got out of the car and had a heated conversation with another person. <\/p>\n
A third person wearing a hoodie stepped in during their argument, pulled a gun out and fired at the man several times, Capt. Stephan explained. <\/p>\n
The man, identified as 37 years old, was struck at least six or seven times, Stephan said. <\/p>\n
Police were able to find the man and took him to a nearby hospital where he was placed in critical condition, officials said. <\/p>\n
The shooter got away in a dark colored Nissan sedan, according to Stephan. <\/p>\n
Capt. Stephan said that the minivan was gone from the scene when officers arrived. <\/p>\n
