Thursday afternoon, the Neosho County prosecutor charged Altman with two counts of theft and eight counts of making false information.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ylk=\"slk:Kansas school accused of mishandling student safety issues;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fourstateshomepage.com\/news\/local\/kansas-school-accused-of-mishandling-student-safety-issues\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Kansas school accused of mishandling student safety issues\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This follows an investigation by the Neosho County Sheriff\u2019s Office over missing funds belonging to the City of Erie. According to court documents, the funds total slightly more than $4,500, with the first instance happening back in December.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is ongoing and city leaders say they are cooperating with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Erie fired Altman yesterday.
