(WHTM) \u2014 The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)<\/a> announced the recall of baked pita chips because they could potentially be contaminated.<\/p>\n

According to the FDA, Legacy Snacks Solutions of Wisconsin is voluntarily recalling certain batches of its Giant Eagle Baked Pita Chips with Parmesan, Garlic & Herb because they could have Salmonella contamination.<\/p>\n

The recall was initiated following California Dairies, Inc\u2019s milk powder recall that was launched due to concerns of Salmonella.<\/p>\n

Although routine testing showed that the seasoning batch for these recalled Giant Eagle-branded chips had no presence of Salmonella, the company is acting out of an abundance of caution.<\/p>\n

No illnesses have been reported.<\/p>\n

The FDA says this recall is limited only to the Giant Eagle Baked Pita Chips with Parmesan, Garlic & Herb with a best used by date of July 16, 2026, and a UPC code on the back of the bag that reads 0 3003496507 5.<\/p>\n

The Giant Eagle Baked Pita Chips with Parmesan, Garlic & Herb were distributed and sold exclusively at Giant Eagle and Market District locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, and Indiana.<\/p>\n

Moving forward, consumers are told to take a photo of the product\u2019s bar code and Best If Used By Date, then dispose of the chips.<\/p>\n

You can then return to the store of purchase with your receipt, or you can call Legacy Snack Solutions\u2019 customer care line at 1-800-532-6120 to request a credit.<\/p>\n
