A new youth football league is coming to the city of Erie.<\/p>\n
Organizers say it’s long overdue, and given the different lessons that the game teaches both on and off the field, it may be needed more than ever before.<\/p>\n
In the city of Erie, students\u2014particularly the young men\u2014according to Archbishop Dwane Brock, have become dysfunctional to the point that they’re not doing well with their behavior or education.<\/p>\n
To help with that, Brock has assembled what he calls “the best of the best,” including Roosevelt Benjamin, Jovan Crosby, and Michael Hooks.<\/p>\n
The leagues will feature flag football for kindergarten through first grade, as well as tackle football for second through sixth grade.
