A. I am most proud of being valedictorian and graduating from the Junior Leadership Northeast Class of 2025. Being valedictorian has taken multiple years of discipline, hard work, and sacrifice. There were many nights when I got little sleep due to work and studying, but I do not regret any of it. I am eternally grateful to my family and friends for motivating me through it. Graduating from the Junior Leadership program took immense character growth and continued effort. I was fortunate to have that opportunity, as it has made me a better person, leader, and student.<\/p>\n

Q. What were your most rewarding school or community activities?<\/p>\n
A. My most rewarding activities were starting a nonprofit for addiction recovery, Sense of Sobriety, with my Junior Leadership team, and working with my school\u2019s drama club to put on theater productions. Junior Leadership and the process of building Sense of Sobriety was transformative and allowed me to give back to my community on a scale I had not previously imagined. Drama club has acted as an avenue for me to meet some of my closest friends while also giving me a great outlet for my creativity.<\/p>\n
Q. Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?<\/p>\n
A. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends.<\/p>\n
Q. What are your plans after high school graduation? Why did you choose this path?<\/p>\n
A. After high school graduation, I plan to go to college for mechanical engineering. I chose this path because I have always loved science and mathematics, and it would allow me to continue serving my community with helpful innovations and solutions while working in a field I am passionate about.<\/p>\n
Q. What do you see yourself doing and where do you see yourself living in 15 years?<\/p>\n
A. In 15 years, I see myself working as a mechanical engineer, owning a home with land in New England, and using my skills to help improve the lives of others through my work.<\/p>\n
Q. Whom do you most admire and why?<\/p>\n
A. Apart from my parents, I most admire my aunt, Sharon. She built a successful career in STEM through hard work and perseverance, and she has created a life mirroring many of my dreams. I admire her ability to balance her professional and personal life despite holding a demanding position. Her example has motivated me to pursue a similar path and has shown me what is possible through dedication and focus.<\/p>\n
Q. In a sentence, what is your philosophy of life?<\/p>\n
A. Stay disciplined and take advantage of every opportunity to grow.<\/p>\n
