MORGANTOWN, PA \u2014 A Berks County investigation into suspected child sexual abuse material led authorities to seek the arrest of a former Caernarvon Township resident after forensic analysts allegedly uncovered tens of thousands of flagged images on electronic devices, according to police.<\/p>\n
The Caernarvon Township Police Department said the investigation began on October 10, 2025, after officers received information regarding possible child sexual abuse material, commonly known as CSAM, at a residence on Hartman Lane.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, a witness discovered disturbing images in a printer tray at the home, including one image allegedly depicting a young female child exposing herself. Police said the witness also located electronic devices and turned them over to authorities after suspecting former resident Richard Boyd may have been involved.<\/p>\n
Investigators obtained a search warrant and submitted the devices to the Berks County District Attorney\u2019s Office Forensic Services Unit for examination, according to police.<\/p>\n
Authorities said a computer forensic examiner reported on November 6, 2025, that more than 71,000 suspected CSAM images were discovered on one device. Further analysis allegedly identified a total of 76,765 flagged images across the seized devices.<\/p>\n
Police said the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities listed the charge as child pornography following an arrest date of May 7, 2026.<\/p>\n

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n
