In 28 innings, he allowed only 13 hits, walked seven and struck out 50. The right-hander led the Florida State League in ERA, strikeouts, WHIP (0.714) and batting average against (.135).<\/p>\n<p>In his last start on Friday, Hernandez tossed six-scoreless innings, allowed three hits, walked one and struck out nine against the Dunedin Blue Jays. <\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old is considered the Pirates\u2019 No. 2 prospect behind shortstop Konnor Griffin and is ranked 19th overall, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/milb\/prospects\/top100\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MLB Pipeline<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Hernandez was selected by the Pirates out of high school with the sixth pick in last year\u2019s draft.
