{"id":188989,"date":"2026-05-11T05:08:39","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T05:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/188989\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T05:08:39","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T05:08:39","slug":"shore-thing-opens-on-memorial-day-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/188989\/","title":{"rendered":"Shore Thing opens on Memorial Day weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Pittsburgh\u2019s floating destination is opening for the summer season in a few weeks. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Shore Thing, a public barge platform on the Allegheny River, between the Roberto Clemente Bridge and Andy Warhol Bridge, was an instant hit when it opened to the public in 2025. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The popular spot reopens for the 2026 summer season on May 22. The family-friendly platform will be open six days a week until mid-October, often hosting free programming and events. BG Brewing will offer food and drink service. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cNothing says summertime in Pittsburgh like getting out on our riverfronts,\u201d Riverlife President and CEO Matthew Galluzzo said. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to bring back Shore Thing for a second season and look forward to welcoming Pittsburghers back on board for another summer of making memories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Shore Thing will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday and from noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
