At the Colebrookdale Railroad, Mother\u2019s Day becomes a ride through history.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a perfect context for memory-making. People love trains. People love the connection to history,\u201d said Nathaniel Guest, executive director of the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust.<\/p>\n
The railroad dates back to the 1800s, with excursions now leaving from Boyertown through what is known as the Secret Valley.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not only preserving history and presenting history, we\u2019re allowing people to experience what it was like to ride in a heavyweight Pullman car,\u201d said David Duncan, historic railcar consultant and director of cuisine.<\/p>\n
This weekend\u2019s menu includes brunch, tea and cocktails onboard.<\/p>\n
