TULPEHOCKEN TWP., Pa. – Dieffenbach’s was established in 1964 in Womelsdorf, Pa., and with Gibble’s, it’s bringing back “nostalgia advertising” with the old Gibble’s logo seen on this billboard in Berks County.

“Gibbles. You may have seen Gibble’s billboards and what have you in the area. It’s popping up in local stores, so Dieffenbach’s, Gibble’s and Uglies brand are all doing very well,” said Dieffenbach’s marketing director Bob Zender.

Those at Dieffenbach’s say they continue to grow and adapt in an ever-changing market by using marketing to bring back old customers and attract new ones.

“There’s definitely a trend to more comfort and familiar foods. Snacking has never really gone away. There’s some bizarre things coming into the supermarkets lately,” Zender said. “We’re very wholesome, old-school type of ingredients and practices. We do small-batch kettle cooking.”

That approach and the brands also help the farming community when it comes to the potatoes.

“It does a great mission helping farmers reducing food waste,” Zender said. “The farmers won’t have to discard unwanted, unused potatoes.”

The company says it’s solidifying the traditions that brought it success in the first place.

“It’s really a throwback that people will appreciate, because they grew up with it,” Zender said. “They grew up with the flavor of Dieffenbach’s and Gibble’s.”

TULPEHOCKEN TWP., Pa. – Dieffenbach’s was established in 1964 in Womelsdorf, Pa., and with Gibble’s, it’s bringing back…

[11
349,84497,28,128,130,129
post-189605","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-reading","tag-berks-county","tag-gibble","tag-pennsylvania","tag-reading-city","tag-reading-city-headlines","tag-reading-city-news
["GET
