PennDOT has announced that over $74 million has been awarded to 72 projects in 38 counties from the Shapiro Administration.<\/p>\n

These projects would work to improve create pedestrian and bicycle facilities, improve access to public transportation, create safe routes to schools, create trail projects that serve a transportation purpose, or enhance safety for vulnerable travelers.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (TASA) funded these projects through the Federal Highway Administration\u2019s (FHWA) Surface Block Grant Program.<\/p>\n

In Erie County Fairview Township will see upgrades to the Fairview School District area. Including $1.2 million in funding for a new sidewalk along the northside of McCray Road and the reconstruction of the existing sidewalk throughout the Fairview campus.<\/p>\n
