North Pocono entered their tilt with Scranton on Monday with two consecutive wins but they’ll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knights. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Knights back in April, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Brayden VonAhnen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. VonAhnen was also solid in the batter’s box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

VonAhnen wasn’t the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Hunter, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

North Pocono’s record now sits at 8-10. As for Scranton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

North Pocono will be playing at home against Abington Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Comets have played have been within two runs, so don’t be surprised if it’s a close one. As for Scranton, they will head out on the road to take on Port Jervis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
