The City of Erie has announced this year\u2019s headliners for CelebrateErie.<\/p>\n
This August, performing at the main stage are hip-hop group Arrested Development, pop-rock favorites Plain White T\u2019s and Grammy award-winning musician Al Jardine & the Pet Sounds Band.<\/p>\n
For the last four months, the Cultures, Arts, Festivals and Events of Erie Board has been working on booking these acts.<\/p>\n
Officials with the city said there\u2019s a wide variety of performances and they believe there\u2019s something for everyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe did survey the public through social media, not what bands, but asking what genres they like and also sticking to what the last administration and last cafe board had done. When Mayor Sinnott was here, it was mostly classic rock, which was great, but the last cafe board really started to implement younger acts, more early 2000s stuff, which really seemed to generate a good response here,\u201d said Hunter Lytle, the special events coordinator for the City of Erie.<\/p>\n
