{"id":190529,"date":"2026-05-12T21:14:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T21:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/190529\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T21:14:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T21:14:24","slug":"bodies-of-child-adult-pulled-from-lake-erie-after-being-reported-overdue-opp-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/190529\/","title":{"rendered":"Bodies of child, adult pulled from Lake Erie after being reported overdue: OPP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">NORFOLK COUNTY \u2014 Ontario Provincial Police say the bodies of two boaters, including a child, were pulled from the waters of Lake Erie on Monday after being reported overdue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Police say they were called earlier in the day to an area of St. Williams, Ont., on the northern shores of the lake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">They say a seven-year-old and a 53-year-old, both from Norfolk County, were found more than 3 1\/2 kilometres from shore by a passing boater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Investigators say their bodies were recovered from the water by the Canadian Coast Guard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Police say further updates will be provided as more details come to light.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">In a video on social media, OPP Sgt. Ed Sanchuk expressed deepest condolences to friends and family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">&#8220;As a father, I can&#8217;t even imagine what you&#8217;re going through.
