There was yet another house fire in Delaware County in recent weeks, and more people displaced.<\/p>\n
This time there was a house ablaze in the 500 block of Wiltshire Road in Upper Darby Township.<\/p>\n
According to fire radio traffic:<\/p>\n
Crews arriving Tuesday shortly after 8 p.m. found fire and heavy smoke, with flames throughout the first floor, and house was quickly engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n
Wires were arcing and sparking and a PECO priority response was sought.<\/p>\n
Crews attacked the flames on the first floor and the second floor. Searches were negative.<\/p>\n
The incident was placed under control at 8:55 p.m. Investigators were called to the scene. There was an extensive overhaul.<\/p>\n
The Red Cross was summoned to aid six adults and two children. The agency had not yet issued details Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
Board-up services were sought for 18 windows, three doors and a section of roofing.<\/p>\n
An official account of the incident was not yet available.<\/p>\n
Other fires in the past month included Sharon Hill<\/a>, Collingdale<\/a>, Trainer<\/a>, Crum Lynne<\/a>, Chester Township<\/a>, Eddystone<\/a>, Upper Darby<\/a> and Collingdale again<\/a>. Dozens of residents have been displaced.<\/p>\n There have been no apparent connections among any of these fires.<\/p>\n Assisting the Upper Darby stations were crews from Darby, Lansdowne and Clifton Heights fire companies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"There was yet another house fire in Delaware County in recent weeks, and more people displaced.
