The 78th annual Berks County Armed Forces Day Parade will be held Saturday in West Reading and Wyomissing. The parade honors all branches of the military, and this year will highlight the 250th anniversary of the nation. The parade along Penn Avenue will start rain or shine at 10 a.m. in the 800 block of Penn and end at Fourth Avenue.<\/p>\n

Longwood Gardens\u2019 Festival of Fountains season has begun and continues through Sept. 27 with horticultural displays, illuminated fountains and concerts. Fountain Fest Weekends begin this weekend with displays set to music by the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and David Bowie Friday through Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u2018Art in Sacred Spaces\u2019<\/p>\n

The Souderton-Telford Historical Society presents the \u201cArt in Sacred Spaces\u201d tour on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. in the two communities. The itinerary includes six area churches and an opportunity to view artifacts from the Mennonite Heritage Center. Guides will be at each site, and some will have music and light refreshments.<\/p>\n

\u2022 A food truck festival will be held Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Exeter High School in Exeter Township, Berks County. There will be more than two dozen food trucks, vendors, musical performances, games and activities.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Philadelphia\u2019s South 9th Street Festival (italianmarketphilly.org\/italian-market-festival\/<\/a>) takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5. Covering seven blocks, the event offers food, drinks, music, vendors and more.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Arts Alive (www.quakertownalive.com\/arts-alive<\/a>) takes place Saturday along Broad Street in Quakertown, Bucks County. Rain date is Sunday. The event features artists, craftspeople and authors, musical performances, children\u2019s activities and food trucks.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Philadelphia Zoo hosts the Philly Wine Fest (www.phillywinefest.com\/<\/a>) Saturday from noon to 6:30. Purchase of timed tickets is required.<\/p>\n
