SALISBURY TWP., Pa. \u2013 An expansive, multi-level facility designed for children to let loose is making moves in Lehigh County.<\/p>\n
Star Park Indoor Playground & Party, a multi-level, indoor playground for children, will soon move from its nearly year-old location at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township to a larger, 30,000-square-foot space at the South Mall in Salisbury Township, owner Mustafa Kaya told 69 News on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Star Park will hold its last day of business at the Lehigh Valley on Sunday, May 17, before holding a grand opening at its new South Mall location on June 27, Kaya said.<\/p>\n
Star Park’s management team announced the upcoming move on the business\u2019 Facebook page.<\/p>\n

At the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., Star Park will occupy an updated space that previously housed a Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley ReStore location and seasonal Spirit Halloween store near the center of the mall.<\/p>\n
Kaya also operates two other Star Park locations at the Franklin Mall in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.<\/p>\n
The playgrounds feature expansive, interactive play areas where children (ages 12 and under) can climb, play, explore and use their imaginations in clean, bright and colorful spaces.<\/p>\n
At the Lehigh Valley Mall, Star Park features a multi-level play structure, featuring multiple types of sliding boards, climbing apparatus, tunnels and swings.<\/p>\n
The structure is surrounded by a large ball pit, and children can place the blue, pink, red and white balls into a vertical mechanism, transporting them to an overhead receptacle that can then be opened, dropping the balls to the floor.<\/p>\n

Socks must be worn in the playground, which also features a climbing wall, an air hockey table, wall-mounted games and ride-on-toys such as a pedal-activated merry-go-round.<\/p>\n
There’s also an interactive area, featuring washable stones, where kids can dig and participate in other activities.<\/p>\n
The multi-level play structure and all other facility components will be moved to the new South Mall location, where additional features such as bounce houses and more interactive games will be showcased, Kaya said. \u00a0<\/p>\n
“Our playgrounds bring joy to children and their families, and we love to see the kids having fun,\u201d Kaya told 69 News last year.<\/p>\n
Two-hour, open play admission to the Lehigh Valley Star Park location is $11.99 for ages 23 months and younger; and $21.99 for ages 2 – 12 years.<\/p>\n
One adult receives free admission per child, and additional adult admission is $5.<\/p>\n

Punch cards, featuring 10 entries for $85 (ages 23 months and younger) or $150 (ages 2-12 years), offer a more cost-effective option for families with multiple children or families that plan to visit the facility on multiple occasions, Kaya said.<\/p>\n
“They can use the punch cards whenever they want,” Kaya said.<\/p>\n
There are also private party rooms, as well as a lounge area for parents and guardians to relax while watching their children play.<\/p>\n
At the South Mall, Star Park will occupy a renovated space that was previously home to a variety of other tenants, including Steve & Barry\u2019s, Black Rose Antiques, Limerick Furniture and a Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley ReStore location.<\/p>\n
The children\u2019s playground will join a growing roster of South Mall tenants, which also includes the newly opened\u00a0Burlington<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Giant<\/a>\u00a0stores and\u00a0S&D Soulicious Cuisine<\/a>\u00a0restaurant.<\/p>\n Other businesses that have opened at the mall in recent years include DragonKnight, offering a wide array of new and vintage trading cards, comic books, action figures and collectibles;\u00a0Poppteas<\/a>, offering bubble tea, gourmet popcorn, popcorn chicken and more; and Back to the Arcade, featuring more than 70 retro and modern arcade games.\u00a0<\/p>\n The South Mall is located at 3300 Lehigh St. in Salisbury Township.<\/p>\n Ryan Kneller<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
