ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) \u2013 On Wednesday, we\u2019ll see periods of rain in the morning with an isolated threat for showers and thunderstorms into the afternoon as the cold front moves in. Highs will hold steady for most of the day with temps in the 60s.<\/p>\n

The best chance of thunderstorms will be late afternoon\/early evening. The SPC has placed all of Central PA into a Marginal Risk (1\/5) for a few stronger and gusty thunderstorms. Rain tapers overnight as lows sit in the 40s.<\/p>\n

Winds shift into Thursday out of the northwest, which ushers in a cool and cloudy Thursday. High temperatures will struggle to hold in the mid 50s with a northwest wind gusting upwards of 15-25 MPH at times. A shower\/drizzle will linger from time to time to keep things damp. Overnight, we\u2019ll remain mostly cloudy with lows in the 40s.<\/p>\n

Clouds will decrease heading into Friday as afternoon sunshine returns. High temperatures will sit mild in the mid to upper 60s, just shy of our average. Winds remain breezy out of the northwest. Overnight, we\u2019ll sit partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s.<\/p>\n

The warming trend kicks into gear starting Saturday! Expect sunshine and clouds with highs in the 70s Saturday and reaching the low 80s by Sunday.
