{"id":192114,"date":"2026-05-14T09:56:25","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/192114\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T09:56:25","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:56:25","slug":"plans-underway-for-boston-tea-party-in-new-bethlehem-community-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/192114\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans underway for Boston Tea Party in New Bethlehem | Community News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Redbank Valley Historical Society and Redbank Valley Public Library will host a Boston Tea Party event Saturday, July 18, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Redbank Valley History Center on Broad Street in New Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event theme celebrates America250, bringing history to life with costumed interpreters portraying colonists and British officials involved in the events leading up to the Boston Tea Party.<\/p>\n<p>Local community members will take on notable Revolutionary War roles, including Paul Revere and Samuel Adams.<\/p>\n<p>This event is open to all ages. Guests will enjoy a menu of finger sandwiches, tea cookies and a selection of fine teas.<\/p>\n<p>Revolutionary War displays will be available for viewing throughout the event.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a themed basket Chinese auction.<\/p>\n<p>Reservations are required as space is limited. Cost is $30 per person and checks can be made payable to Redbank Valley Historical Society, P.O.
