{"id":192710,"date":"2026-05-14T22:38:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T22:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/192710\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T22:38:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T22:38:15","slug":"student-reports-gun-at-shafer-middle-school-bensalem-police-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/192710\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Reports \u2018Gun\u2019 At Shafer Middle School: Bensalem Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Administrative personnel at Shafer Middle School in Bensalem were alerted on Friday, April 24, after a student reported seeing a male classmate with what appeared to be a gun in his waistband, according to Bensalem Police.<\/p>\n<p>The student said the suspected weapon was visible when the classmate lifted his shirt, police detailed.<\/p>\n<p>A School Resource Officer and additional officers responded immediately as a school administrator located the student and safely removed the weapon, which was later identified as a BB gun, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, a second student was identified as being involved in bringing the BB gun to school, police added.<\/p>\n<p>School officials will handle internal discipline for both students, while the police investigation remains ongoing.
