has reopened early, after officials said it would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpxi.com\/news\/local\/road-allegheny-county-close-until-june-culvert-repairs\/OVQPEOTXKZCJ7FJYV2Z4CILWRQ\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wpxi.com\/news\/local\/road-allegheny-county-close-until-june-culvert-repairs\/OVQPEOTXKZCJ7FJYV2Z4CILWRQ\/\">closed until the summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Department of Works said Thursday that East Smithfield Street near Antonelli Drive in Elizabeth Township is open to traffic again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The road had been closed since April 20 for repairs to a culvert named Youghiogheny Bridge No. 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Work included road repairs, drainage improvements and installation of a guiderail and pavement markings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pugliano Construction of Plum was the primary contractor for the $126,144 project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">An average of 5,338 drivers use East Smithfield Street every day, DPW says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Download the <a
