Investigators believe she was shot by accident while children played with a gun.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened Thursday afternoon on the 100 block of Springton Road, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found the victim in a rear bedroom with a gun next to her, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/crime\/upper-darby-children-playing-with-gun-girl-killed-20260514.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Philadelphia Inquirer<\/a>. She was brought to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Police say four children were alone in the house when they found a handgun, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/post\/teen-dies-gun-goes-off-kids-were-inside-upper-darby-pa-home\/19102039\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">6abc Action News<\/a>.
