{"id":193478,"date":"2026-05-15T17:16:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T17:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/193478\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T17:16:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T17:16:08","slug":"ferry-street-building-in-easton-painted-pink-ahead-of-its-demolition-to-make-way-for-7-story-mixed-use-building-easton-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/193478\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferry Street building in Easton painted pink, ahead of its demolition to make way for 7-story mixed-use building | Easton Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EASTON, Pa. &#8211; A building in Easton is being temporarily painted pink ahead of its demolition later this month.<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post, city Mayor Sal Panto said the building on Ferry Street will be colored pink until a demo party on May 30, when it will be demolished to make way for new condos that will be built on the site.<\/p>\n<p>A bullseye will also be painted on the building\u2019s south wall, according to Panto.<\/p>\n<p>Panto said the new building will be The Lynden, noting that the top floor condo sold for $ 1.3 million.<\/p>\n<p>More than 50% of the condos are already sold, Panto said.<\/p>\n<p>The Easton Planning Commission granted final <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/area\/lehighvalley\/northampton-county\/easton-area\/proposed-7-story-mixed-use-building-gets-green-light-from-easton-planners\/article_1f50a626-a93a-4021-805a-b438c8a5e231.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">approval for the planned new mixed-use building<\/a> at a meeting in early February.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal called for a seven-story structure at 101 S. Third St., featuring 73 condominiums and more than 2,540 square feet of first-floor commercial and retail space.<\/p>\n<p>The condominiums will be comprised of 15 one-bedroom units, 36 two-bedroom units and 22 three-bedroom units and penthouses, which have balconies.
