In a statement to that district, Supt. Dr. Dwight Bonk said, &#8220;, the District was advised that a regular audit of student activity funds at John Jay High School indicated that funds for student organizations and activities during the 2023-2024 school year appeared to be unaccounted for. Once we were made aware, we immediately placed the individual on paid administrative leave per protocol, commenced an investigation, and referred the matter to law enforcement with regard to the possibility of criminal activity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The investigation began in January of 2025, and on Aug. 25, the district accepted Ingalls&#8217; irrevocable letter of resignation. Ingalls has been employed in the district, at Slingerlands Elementary School only, for less than a year.<\/p>\n<p>Ingalls will be replaced by a substitute teacher while on administrative leave.
