OBITUARY

Ross Anthony Bonaddio Sr., 52, of Carbondale, died May 6, 2026. Born on July 15, 1973, in Scranton. He was the beloved son of Anthony & Joyce Bonaddio whom he loved dearly. He was a 1991 graduate of Bishop O’Hara. He received his associates degree from Luzerne County Community College for Respiratory Therapy. He worked at Moses Taylor Hospital, Mid Valley Hospital and Marian Community Hospital for many years as a Respiratory Therapist. In addition, he was a Real Estate Investor. What others might see as an impossible task , he would view as a hidden treasure. He had a knack for turning nothing into something extraordinary.

Surviving are two sisters, Angel Wood and Kristin Butler, and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph. Ross was a devoted father to his two children, Ross Anthony Bonaddio II and Kierstyn Marie Bonaddio. The love he had for his children was immeasurable, unconditional and eternal. Rosss best days were spent with his grandsons, Elijah and Jiovanni.

Those who knew of him would speak of the pride he had for his family. On days in which he was not hitting the trails on his quad or side by side, you would find him sitting in his bass boat one hand holding his fishing rod and the other wrapped around his best fishing buddy, his son, Ross. He spent countless hours teaching his grandsons how to fish, watching movies and making memories that will last a life time. Ross always showed up for those he loved. He cheered the loudest at every one of his grandsons’ games, always celebrated his son’s biggest catch and gave his daughter the courage to pursue her dream to become a Registered Nurse. His family, above all, was the most important aspect of his life.

Ross will be remembered by closest to him as funny-with an infectious spirit, loving- he gave the best hugs and reliable- he was always true to his word.

A private ceremony and celebration of life will be held with immediate family in honor of Ross at a later date.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 15th, at 11am at St. Carlo Acutis Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Close friends and family are welcomed to attend.

Arrangements by the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald.
