BERKS CO., Pa. – The Berks County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a man who died in a crash on I-78 in Berks County Friday night.<\/p>\n
Donald Gene Hausenfluck, 61, of San Antonio, Texas, was operating a tractor trailer on I-78 westbound in Upper Bern Township on Friday at approximately 11:48 p.m.., the coroner’s office said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For unknown reasons, his vehicle left the roadway and struck another tractor trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the interstate, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The coroner’s office says that Hausenfluck was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:31 a.m. on Saturday by emergency room physicians.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Berks County Coroner\u2019s Office was notified at 2:25 a.m.<\/p>\n
The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force trauma, and the manner of death has been ruled accidental, according to the coroner.\u00a0<\/p>\n
