The Eagles don\u2019t have room on their roster for another quarterback. They already have four. BUT\u2026 if they were confident that Sorsby will be suspended by the NFL, especially if it\u2019s for the entire 2026 season, it would absolutely make sense for Howie Roseman to at least put in a Day 3 bid for this guy, since Tanner McKee<\/a> and Andy Dalton<\/a> are scheduled to be free agents next offseason. They did take a shot on another gambling case when they signed Isaiah Rodgers<\/a>, and that worked out.<\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s time for a different perspective on the same activity. We tracked down writers who cover the teams of Philly\u2019s 2026 opponents to see their week-by-week picks and how they had the Eagles games playing out.<\/p>\n
The Eagles spent pick 68 on Markel Bell. You don\u2019t spend that pick on a guy you think will be Fred Johnson<\/a>. Jordan Mailata<\/a> is only 29 so you\u2019re not worried about replacing him. The Eagles think Bell can be their RT of the future. The draft is all about probability. Guys in the first round have the best chance of success because they were the best prospects. Even with that, there are no sure things (see Andre Dillard<\/a>). The odds go down each round, as the level of prospects do. But the league is filled with players from all over the draft who did succeed. Brian Dawkins was the 61st pick in 1996. He went to the Hall of Fame. Bell was pick 68. The Eagles don\u2019t need him to be a HOF. They just want to find a good RT of the future. I get the fact there are doubters on Bell. I think part of the issue is they are focused on what he is and not what he might become. He played LT at Miami<\/a>. Well, Johnson played LT at Oklahoma. He didn\u2019t learn RT until he got to the NFL. Bell cross-trained at RT some during his college years and then in his pre-draft training. We just haven\u2019t seen him play there on a regular basis. Bell is only 21. He has a ton of upside. It is up to Bell and the coaching staff to mold him into a starting NFL OT.<\/p>\n

That uncertainty, along with the loss of veteran do-it-all interior reserve Brett Toth<\/a> in free agency, thrusts 2025 fifth-round pick Drew Kendall<\/a> into a role as a vital insurance policy. A Thanksgiving date with the Eagles and a trip to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks will be a rough way to begin the holiday season, and a visit to the Rams<\/a> coming out of a long-awaited Week 14 bye won\u2019t be a treat, either.<\/p>\n
2) NFC East Champions. We predict the Cowboys finish with a 4-2 record in the NFC East division, splitting games with the Eagles and Commanders<\/a> and sweeping the Giants. As NFC East Champions, they would be in position for a potentially strong playoff run. 3) Super Bowl Contender. After already predicting the Cowboys finish with a 11-6 regular-season record and winning the NFC East division, predicting them to be a serious Super Bowl contender is only fitting. With one of the league\u2019s best offenses and an expected defensive improvement, this team could be dangerous in the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Indianapolis<\/a> in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), Oct. 4, 9:30 a.m. ET. This trip is obviously not cheap. You\u2019re flying across the Atlantic and staying in a super expensive city, but it\u2019s nothing like seeing NFL football in the U.S. London\u2019s a great town. A-plus. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is modern and amazing in most every way. You can take public transit the whole time if you want and experience England while watching your favorite team play. These teams play abroad a ton, and it\u2019s worth watching the Commanders play overseas if you can. Count this as a great opportunity to do so.<\/p>\n
