{"id":195547,"date":"2026-05-18T12:50:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T12:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195547\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T12:50:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T12:50:07","slug":"2-women-injured-several-vehicles-hit-when-25-rounds-fired-in-pittsburgh-neighborhood-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195547\/","title":{"rendered":"2 women injured, several vehicles hit when 25 rounds fired in Pittsburgh neighborhood \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 A shooting in Pittsburgh\u2019s Homewood neighborhood early Monday morning resulted in two women being injured and damage to multiple parked vehicles. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone five officers responded to the scene in the 7000 block of Idlewild Street around 2:15 a.m. following two ShotSpotter alerts for 25 rounds fired.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">When first responders arrived on scene, a woman was found with a graze wound to the leg at the intersection of North Lang Avenue and Forrest Way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Bullets also struck several vehicles in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Medics transported the woman with the graze wound to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Additionally, a second woman was also taken to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated knee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Preliminary information from the scene suggests a fight broke out before the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Pittsburgh mobile crime unit responded to the scene to process evidence.
