{"id":195641,"date":"2026-05-18T15:13:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T15:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195641\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T15:13:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T15:13:13","slug":"pittsburgh-law-firm-partners-to-commercialize-ai-platform-after-years-of-in-house-use-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195641\/","title":{"rendered":"Pittsburgh law firm partners to commercialize AI platform after years of in-house use \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Three years after developing an in-house artificial intelligence model, Pittsburgh\u2019s third-largest law firm is ready to offer it to others through a new partnership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Buchanan Ingersoll &amp; Rooney first began developing its own AI portal, Artifex, in-house at its digital solutions center in March of 2023 before\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2023\/09\/13\/buchanan-launches-ai-platform.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rolling it out to employees that September.<\/a>\u00a0Now, Buchanan has partnered with consulting firm Hike2, who will scale and commercialize the platform to enterprise firms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cThis platform provides centralized policy enforcement, model controls, role-based access and usage analytics across legal and business functions,\u201d Hike2 Director of Advisory Services Liv Smith said in a prepared statement. \u201cThese are critical features to ensure that firm leadership can oversee and measure AI adoption within a consistent, policy-driven environment.
