{"id":195976,"date":"2026-05-18T21:44:05","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T21:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195976\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T21:44:05","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T21:44:05","slug":"duryea-man-charged-with-felony-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/195976\/","title":{"rendered":"Duryea man charged with felony assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>DURYEA \u2014 Police in Duryea Borough say they charged Askia Anthony Riddick, 29, with assaulting a woman who was found with stab wounds to her legs on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Lackawanna Avenue after neighbors reported hearing children crying at about 6 p.m. A woman was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds to her legs, police reported.<\/p>\n<p>Riddick was detained when he emerged from the house and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment.
