(WPVI) &#8212; The Lehigh County District Attorney&#8217;s Office is donating $100,000 seized from drug dealers to help keep a Boys &amp; Girls Club facility open in Allentown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">District Attorney Gavin Holihan announced the funding on Monday morning at the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown&#8217;s Cumblerland Gardens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The facility had been facing possible closure due to cuts in federal funding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The organization is now responsible for paying rent on the clubhouse, which had previously been donated, in addition to covering staff salaries, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;It is designed to address keeping this clubhouse functioning because of how important it is to our community. We see programs like this as a long-term project in reducing crime and delinquency in our community,&#8221; said Holihan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Boys and Girls Club offers educational and recreational after-school and summer programs for hundreds of children each year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">The facility has served the South Side of Allentown for nearly five decades.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
