{"id":196603,"date":"2026-05-19T11:59:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T11:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/196603\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T11:59:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T11:59:08","slug":"2-charged-after-robbery-at-bensalem-business-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/196603\/","title":{"rendered":"2 Charged After Robbery At Bensalem Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 Bensalem Police have charged two men in connection with a robbery last Thursday at the Cloud City Smoke and Vape Shop on Neshaminy Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>Police said officers responded at about 9:24 p.m. Thursday to the shop at 5421 Neshaminy Boulevard for a report that a robbery had just occurred. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\"><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" class=\"article-subscribe-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived, they determined that two men had entered the store at separate times before one of them, armed with a crowbar, announced a robbery and attempted to assault a store employee.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, a brief struggle followed between the man with the crowbar and the employee. Police said the man then fled the store and was chased outside by the employee. <\/p>\n<p>Both fled in a white BMW sedan, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Through an investigation that included surveillance footage, License Plate Readers, and township intersection cameras, <\/p>\n<p>Bensalem arrested and charged Ethan Maszczenski, 30, and Daniel McKay, 22, for robbery and other related charges.<\/p>\n<p>Police said both Maszczenski and McKay had been taken into custody by the Philadelphia Police Department in an unrelated suspected robbery. <\/p>\n<p>McKay was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Terrance P. Hughes Sr., according to police.
