PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 A former federal prison guard in Philadelphia who pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges has been sentenced to three decades in prison.<\/p>\n
Michael Jefferson, 43, admitted that he sexually abused an inmate in July 2024 while on duty as a correctional officer inside the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, located at Seventh and Arch streets.<\/p>\n
The woman filed a lawsuit<\/a>, and Jefferson was charged last spring<\/a>.
