CATASAUQUA, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police say they are investigating the report of an \u201cunknown explosive device\u201d being thrown from a vehicle near a polling location in Catasauqua, Lehigh County Tuesday.<\/p>\n
There was some \u201csort of explosion\u201d near the vehicle in the area of the Salem United Church of Christ, which is a polling place, Trooper Nathan Branosky said in a news briefing Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
State police say nobody was injured and there is no threat to the public.<\/p>\n
State police were seen entering a home in the block where the incident happened.<\/p>\n
County dispatchers said crews were called to the 600 block of Third Street around 9:12 a.m. Police tape was set up in the area.<\/p>\n
Canine resources, police, and fire crews responded to the scene, according to Branosky.<\/p>\n
If you are voting at Salem UCC, make all entrances from 4th Street, according to a Facebook post from the Catasauqua Fire Department District 2.<\/p>\n

In the news briefing, Branosky said all polling locations remain open, and that state police are encouraging people to go out and exercise their right to vote.<\/p>\n
Branosky said the investigation is underway, and that authorities are seeking to conduct search warrants.<\/p>\n
Multiple streets are shut down, according to the Facebook post from the Catasauqua Fire Department District 2.<\/p>\n

Walnut Street from Crane to limestone<\/p>\n
People attending a funeral at Brubaker\u2019s Funeral Home are asked to utilize Third Street from Chapel Street, fire crews said.<\/p>\n
