Mayor Cherelle Parker announced Tuesday the transportation and mobility details for Philly’s FIFA Fan Festival, which will take place at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park.<\/p>\n
The Fan Fest will be held during the World Cup 2026, running from June 11 through July 19, and will feature live match broadcasts, cultural programming, music, food vendors and family-friendly activities for free.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis\u00a0is\u00a0about\u00a0affordability and access for all, not just\u00a0downtown\u00a0visitors,\u201d\u00a0said Parker.\u00a0\u201cWe want people from across Philadelphia and\u00a0around\u00a0the globe to enjoy\u00a0this historic moment in our city.”<\/p>\n
Officials said one of the city’s highest priorities is supporting transportation access and operations during the festival, including $450,000 to subsidize PHLASH bus service connecting residents and visitors to Fan Festival from Center City and the Historic District. <\/p>\n
Other transportation-related efforts include enhanced SEPTA services, residential parking protections, pedestrian and bicycle access improvements, expanded Indego bike share access, traffic safety enhancements, pop-up hospitality hubs, and coordinated public safety operations designed to support residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the tournament.<\/p>\n
Road Closures\u00a0<\/p>\n
There\u00a0will be\u00a0two main\u00a0road closure areas between Center City and Lemon Hill,\u00a0near\u00a0Fan Festival and\u00a0the\u00a0Benjamin\u00a0Franklin Parkway.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The local lanes of the Benjamin\u00a0Franklin Parkway\u00a0will be closed from Memorial Day, May 25,\u00a0to Labor Day, September\u00a07,\u00a0with the exception of\u00a0the\u00a0July 4th\u00a0Concert\u00a0festivities. The city said this local lane closure will\u00a0provide greater accessibility\u00a0for pedestrians and cyclists and will encourage\u00a0people\u00a0to walk and bike between Center City and Lemon Hill.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For the Fan Fest, the following streets will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, for\u00a0the duration of\u00a0the festival:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sedgley Drive from Kelly Drive to Poplar Drive\u00a0<\/p>\n
Poplar Street from Poplar Drive to 30th\u00a0Street (Local Access Maintained)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Poplar Street from 29th\u00a0Street to 30th\u00a0Street (Westbound Only; Local Access Maintained)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Poplar Drive from Sedgley Drive to Girard Avenue\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sedgley Drive from Girard Avenue to Lemon Hill Drive\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lemon Hill Drive & N. Lemon Hill Drive (Loop Road)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Those streets will be posted as \u201cTemporary No Parking\u201d zones, with parking restricted after 5 a.m. on May 26, 2026. Drivers must adhere to \u201cTemporary No Parking\u201d signs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
These roads will remain closed for the duration of the Fan Festival and will be reopened to vehicular traffic by 8 p.m. on July 26, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Beginning on June 11 through July 19,\u00a0Waterworks Drive will be closed at 10 a.m. each day for the duration of the Fan Festival,\u00a0with controlled access for Waterworks and Philadelphia Museum of Art.\u00a0Waterworks Drive will be available for general parking\u00a0each morning until 9 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cars parked in these locations during posted hours will be\u00a0relocated. If you believe your car has been\u00a0relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The city also said additional closures may be implemented by the Philadelphia Police Department based on conditions.<\/p>\n
Philly PHLASH<\/p>\n
Riders can take the PHLASH to Stop 9, FIFA Fan Festival on the PHLASH Downtown Loop. <\/p>\n
Located at Pennsylvania Avenue and\u00a0Fairmount\u00a0Avenue, the FIFA Fan Festival Stop is\u00a0located\u00a00.4 miles from the entrance to\u00a0Philadelphia\u2019s FIFA Fan\u202fFestival\u2122\u00a0at Lemon Hill.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
PHLASH runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day.\u00a0The PHLASH Downtown Loop will\u00a0operate\u00a0extended service on days when Fan Fest\u00a0operates\u00a0beyond 6 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
