MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa – Police in Berks County have identified the man who was killed in an industrial accident in Berks County Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Julio Guti\u00e9rrez, 44, of Reading, died after falling into a large machine at a\u00a0records management facility in\u00a0Muhlenberg Township, according to township police.<\/p>\n
The Berks County Coroner’s Office was called to Vital Records Control in the 1100 block of Commons Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Initial emergency dispatches called for a rescue operation for a person that fell into a shredding machine.<\/p>\n
Township police say it appears to be an accident.<\/p>\n
Police say there have been no similar calls at the business, or anywhere else in the township.<\/p>\n
The company cooperated with the investigation, according to township police.<\/p>\n
Police say the company will be holding safety briefings in connection with the accident.<\/p>\n
