THE RACE FOR GOVERNOR, THE INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT JOSH SHAPIRO, WILL GO UP AGAINST REPUBLICAN STATE TREASURER STACY GARRITY, 8 ON YOUR SIDE POLITICAL REPORTER TOM LEHMAN HAS BEEN FOLLOWING BOTH CAMPAIGNS CLOSELY AND JOINS US LIVE FROM THE STATE CAPITOL IN HARRISBURG TONIGHT. TOM. YEAH, JERRY, NOT A LOT OF SURPRISES HERE TONIGHT. BOTH OF THOSE CANDIDATES WERE THE PRESUMED NOMINEES SINCE THEY ANNOUNCED. BUT TONIGHT SERVED AS THE OFFICIAL KICKOFF FOR WHAT\u2019S GOING TO BE A HIGHLY WATCHED CONTEST ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. SHAPIRO WAS IN BUCKS COUNTY TONIGHT DOING A VICTORY SPEECH OF SORTS. HE TALKED A LITTLE BIT, A LOT, FRANKLY, ABOUT PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP BLAMING HIM FOR HIGHER GAS PRICES AS WELL AS HEALTH CARE COSTS. WE ARE HERE TONIGHT. ALL OF US ARE HERE BECAUSE WE CHOOSE NOT TO BE CAPTIVE TO THE CHAOS. WE CHOOSE NOT TO BE PART OF THE CRUELTY. WE CHOOSE NOT TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE CORRUPTION.
