Five Berks County high school players were picked to play for the Pennsylvania team in the Big 26 Baseball Classic July 30-Aug. 2 at FNB Field in Harrisburg.<\/p>\n
The Pennsylvania team, consisting of 26 players who are either juniors or sophomores this year, will play a Maryland 26-player select team.<\/p>\n
The Berks players on the team are Brandywine Heights sophomore infielder Jaxton Henry, Schuylkill Valley junior infielder Salinger Kehs-Rossi, Wilson junior infielder Tim Lengle and his junior outfield teammate Ryan Marmolejos, and Exeter junior outfielder Matt Woram.<\/p>\n
The 26 players, who all tried out, were chosen by the team\u2019s coaches \u2013 Kevin Manero of North Penn High School, Matt Schram of Council Rock North High School and Rick Harrison of Spring-Ford High School.<\/p>\n
Tryouts for the Pennsylvania team were held May 3 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading.<\/p>\n
