Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites\u2019<\/a> annual Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Walk is returning for its 23rd year on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 9 a.m., with new features for participants of all ages.<\/p>\n

The popular Thanksgiving weekend event, presented by Physical Therapy at St. Luke\u2019s, will begin at the historic 1869 Luckenbach Mill. Last year, the event attracted more than 1,000 participants to Bethlehem\u2019s Historic District, providing a boost to local businesses during the holiday season.<\/p>\n

Participants will follow a scenic route through the Colonial Industrial Quarter and Moravian Church Settlements\u2014Bethlehem, which was recently designated as a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n

New for 2025, organizers have expanded the costume contest to include human participants in addition to pets. Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress in holiday or race-themed attire, with prizes awarded for the most spirited individual and group costumes. The costume judging will take place at 8:15 a.m. before the race begins.<\/p>\n

The event has also expanded its youth division to include more age categories: up to 8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15 years old. The top two male and female finishers in each youth division will receive awards.<\/p>\n

Registration costs $40 through 5 p.m. on Nov. 28 and increases to $45 through race day. All participants receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt, healthy refreshments, and weekend admission to HBMS\u2019s Trees of Historic Bethlehem exhibition and museums.<\/p>\n

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top two male and female finishers in each age group for the run and the top male and female finishers in the competitive walk.<\/p>\n

The event is supported by presenting sponsor Physical Therapy at St. Luke\u2019s, along with Campbell, Rappold & Yurasits; ULINE; and Tiller Private Wealth. Proceeds benefit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites and its historic preservation work, community outreach efforts, and educational programming.<\/p>\n
