{"id":198716,"date":"2026-05-21T09:56:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/198716\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T09:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:56:08","slug":"state-police-to-crack-down-on-aggressive-driving-during-holiday-weekend-berks-regional-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/198716\/","title":{"rendered":"State police to crack down on aggressive driving during holiday weekend | Berks Regional News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>READING, Pa. \u2013 Pennsylvania State Police with Berks County-based Troop L are reminding drivers that they will be keeping a close eye on the roads this Memorial Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>They say they will be cracking down on driving under the influence, aggressive driving, tailgating, seatbelt usage and speeding.<\/p>\n<p>Troop L serves Berks, Lebanon and Schuylkill\u00a0counties.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities with the Pennsylvania Turnpike say work on the road will be halted Thursday ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 2.2 million drivers are expected to use the toll road in the days ahead.
