EASTON, Pa. – We are inching closer to one of the Lehigh Valley’s biggest nights showcasing the arts.<\/p>\n
The stage is set for the 2026 Freddy Awards at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s almost time for the 2026 Freddy Awards.<\/p>\n
Soon the seats at the\u00a0State Theatre will be filled with students from musical theatre programs in Lehigh, Northampton, and Warren counties.<\/p>\n
The Freddy Awards are broadcast each year on WFMZ-TV and hosted at the State Theatre Center for the Arts.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so important and it\u2019s so infectious and what it\u2019s done for the kids in the theatre programs in the Lehigh Valley is really unbelievable,\u201d Shelley Brown, President and CEO of the State Theatre Center for the Arts, said.<\/p>\n
A record setting 31 schools are a part of this year\u2019s Freddys, and next year\u2019s program promises to be even bigger.<\/p>\n
\u201cNext year\u2019s our 25th, so we\u2019re really saving all of the stops for next year,\u201d Kori Lotito, coordinator for the Freddy Awards, said. \u201cBut we are really, really excited to be here for 24 years to have all those schools and to get to do this every year is just so wonderful. I know the kids love it so much, so that\u2019s really what makes it all worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n
We’ll be broadcasting the Freddy Awards show Thursday night live right here on WFMZ-TV, starting at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
